Anyone else obsessing over the blossom this spring?! 🌸 I even found myself googling the best spots to see it in London 😂 Apparently there’s a Japanese-style blossom tunnel in Greenwich Park which I really want to visit. Has anyone been? But it’s not just us enjoying the pretty cherry blossom this spring - honey bees also find it especially attractive because they are able to collect both nectar and pollen from its flowers 🐝 All the more reason to love it then 💗
With Easter round the corner I’m starting to think about how to celebrate as sustainably as possible - two years back I started growing some sunflowers in these lovely little zero waste egg pots which made for such a cute Easter display 🐣 Might be leaving it a bit late this year though ... anyone know of any seeds that germinate in a week?! 🌱
I was after a pic of my outfit to share with you all - I’m wearing my @gillian_june jacket and @veja trainers but you can barely see the jacket and you certainly can’t see the shoes 🤣 oh well ... the thought was there! To give some context behind the outfit, my jacket was tailored by @gillian_june’s lovely founder Imogen in Hackney using a mixture of locally sourced textiles and vintage trimmings. The shoes were made a little further afield in the region of Porto Alegre in Brazil but also have sustainability incorporated into their design process, using fairtrade and organic raw materials 👟 Have you ever stopped to think who made your clothes or to ask what materials they are made from? And if you’re wondering about the flowers 💐 ... they were freshly picked from the Suffolk countryside by @juniperbarnsuffolk so this Mother’s Day bouquet has zero air miles 👏🏼

Planning some holidays for the summer ahead and reminiscing on last year’s trips ☀️ In Corfu we were shocked to come across this little beach covered in litter and had an impromptu beach clean. Did you know that by 2050 it’s estimated that there will be more plastic in the sea than fish 😢 I love the @take3forthesea campaign - it encourages people to pick up at least 3 bits of litter every time they go to the beach. Why not get involved next time you’re at the seaside 🏖
Woohoo it’s International Women’s Day! I wanted to use this opportunity to highlight the Fairtrade Foundation’s #shedeserves campaign to raise awareness for women cocoa farmers in West Africa 🍫 I went to their hot chocolate pop up last Sunday to find out more - these women live on around 76p a day but they need £1.86 to achieve a ‘living income’ which simply means that they need this to afford the basic necessities to live e.g. food, water, clothing, education and healthcare. @fairtradeuk are working with governments, chocolate companies and retailers to make this necessity a reality for women in West Africa. I also got to try a delicious hot chocolate which was made in collaboration with @melissa.hemsley and omg it was good!! 😋
