It’s not often I get this excited about a small brand or collaboration but I am absolutely in love with my new refillable candle from @pottcandles 😍 Hand-thrown in the UK, every Pott is completely unique and designed to last so rather than throwing your candle holder away each time (why do we do that?!?) you can keep it and refill it with Pott’s custom-made candle refills. I went for the lavender scent which smells amazing, but they have a great range including fig, rose and orange 🍊 I also love the match Potts that you can order too... how cute are they!! Let me know what you think and if you want to make an order then you can use the discount code SIMPLE20 for 20% off at check out 🙌🏼 #gifted
Based in Windsor, @oakdalebees make all sorts of products with the honey and wax from their very own apiary that sit in four acres of wild meadow fields 🌾 Up until now this has included a delicious range of artisan honey, 100% bees wax candles and plastic free food wraps but they have excitingly just launched their new ‘beevitalise’ range (#gifted) to encourage you to revitalise old products instead of buying new! Made with their very own beeswax and ethically sourced natural oils this new range helps to revive and restore wood and leather goods - think old boots, shoes, bags, wooden tables, surfaces and chopping boards! By nourishing and conditioning the natural materials the beevitalise range will protect your products while enhancing and enriching their natural colour 🐝 For those with allergies please note that these products contain nut oils! 🥜 ⚠️
Yesterday marked the start of #FairtradeFortnight - a two week celebration of all things fair trade and I can’t believe it’s already been a year since @waitrose hosted a fun-filled evening to celebrate their Fairtrade range 🛒 This year @fairtradeuk is focused on highlighting the growing challenges that climate change brings to farmers 🌾 In Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire where over half of the world’s cocoa is grown, many farmers are already being affected by rising temperatures 🌡 In fact by 2050 it is thought that these regions will become too hot to grow cocoa which will have huge implications for the small holder farmers who rely on this crop for their livelihoods 🍫 @fairtradeuk is supporting the farmers affected by climate change by ensuring that they get a fair, living wage to help them adapt and survive the crisis 👨🏼‍🌾 Do you ever look out for the Fairtrade logo when you’re out shopping?
I cannot believe this weather ❄️ Looking at the forecast it says we’re going to get -8° in London tonight 😱 I will most definitely not be leaving the house! Instead I can’t get out of these lovely sheepskin moccasin slippers from @thesmallhome - each slipper is totally unique and beautifully handmade by Polish artisans using traditional techniques 🧵 Plus all sheepskin used by The Small Home starts its life as a waste material, either as by-products from the meat industry or Roll Royce car off-cuts! So it’s great that these gorgeous slippers have put waste to good use 🌟
Plastic free cleaning 🧼 !! I usually dread my week to clean the flat as it always feels like such a chore but this weekend I had something a little exciting to look forward to as it was the first time using my plastic free cleaning products from @raindrop.clean ✨ The amber frosted glass bottles are designed to last the test of time so all you need to ever buy are the plastic free cleaning drops that you mix with warm water and shake before you’re ready to go - easy! If you want to find out more about this fabulous brand then head on over to my blog for a full review, link in bio 🍃 #gifted
Did you know that organic beauty brands aren't regulated like food and drinks businesses? This means that any beauty brand can claim to be organic with only 1% organic ingredients 😱 As more and more consumers want to buy organic it's important that we can trust the claims that brands are making. That's one of the reasons I love @greenpeopleuk with its @soilassociation certified skincare products, many of which have over 90% organic ingredients 🌿 With one sustainable innovation and product launch after another they consistently amaze me - take their new beauty balm which is made with 99.8% certified ingredients and comes in a 100% biodegradable pot 🤩 I've put together a blog post to share my favourite Green People products - all of which I've tried, tested and loved over the years. Link in bio 🍃
