Natural & Organic Beauty with Green People

I have been using Green People products for a couple of years now and they consistently amaze me with one sustainable innovation and product launch after another. The brand was founded by Charlotte Vøhtz in 1997 after she failed to find any trustworthy natural or organic products – did you know that you only need 1% natural ingredients in a product’s formulation in order to call it natural!?

Charlotte has certainly changed the game and given my love for Green People I thought it was about time that I dedicate a blog post to the brand and highlight the amazing things that they are doing in the green beauty space.

Below are some of my favourite products that I have tried and tested over the years. All products featured are vegan, cruelty free and certified organic.

Green People All-In-One Balm, £20.00

The All-In-One Balm is Green People’s latest addition to their skincare range so I was delighted to be amongst the first to try it. The beauty balm is made with 99.8% certified organic ingredients with botanical blends including fair trade Myrrh which helps to soothe inflamed skin and regenerating Pomegranate and Rosehip which act to repair the skin. This balm really is an “all in one” as the nourishing plant actives make it great to use for anything from cracked heels to cuticle care to soothing skin post shaving! But what’s most exciting is that it’s the UK’s first beauty balm to be packaged in a 100% biodegradable pot that will degrade in soil after use.

Green People Nordic Roots Hyaluronic Booster Serum, £27.00

Another favourite is the Green People Hyaluronic Booster Serum which helps to plump the skin and reduce fine lines. I can be very cautious about skin care products as I have suffered acne in the past but this product did nothing but wonders – with its hydrating plant extracts the serum did exactly what it says on the tin – it plumps and instantly hydrates, leaving my skin looking soft and dewy whenever I use it. Perfect for these cold winter months! All ingredients are natural in origin and 22% of the ingredients are organic plus it arrives in compostable packaging that’s partly made from grass. It looks great alongside my other eco-friendly skincare products from Pai and Therapi – two other worthwhile brands to explore!

Green People Manuka & Lemon Tea Tree Hand Cream, £13.00

This organic Hand Cream is not only brilliantly moisturising but it’s also antibacterial with Tea Tree extract and Manuka oil that have been blended for their natural antimicrobial activity. In these dry winter months when we’re all washing our hands more often and for longer than usual it’s great to have an antibacterial hand cream that fits in the smallest of bags. It really has become a firm favourite and smells amazing with the soft scent of Sweet Orange, Manuka and Lemon Tea Tree. Made with 91% organic ingredients the plastic packaging is also fully recyclable.

Green People Sun & Travel Collection, £39.00

This Sun & Travel Collection contains a fabulous range of Green People sun care products in a natural travel canvas bag.

  • Sun Cream SPF30 Scent Free 100ml
  • Sun Cream SPF15 with Tan Accelerator 100ml
  • Hydrating After Sun 100ml

Green People sun creams are made with over 80% natural ingredients including safe, non toxic filters that are ocean friendly and don’t harm the environment. I personally love their natural tan accelerator that increases tanning rates by 25% – an absolute summer essential. For a wider range of ocean-friendly suncreams you can check out my guide here.

So there you have it – a couple of my favourite Green People products for organic, natural and vegan beauty lovers!
